A: Yes. We serve breakfast from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Morning coffee and tea, along with the local newspaper are always ready early. A complimentary evening snack is also included which may include teas, lemonade and Louisville Cookies. Some recent breakfast entrees:

Q: What are your rates?

A: Rates range from $85 to $145. These rates are not applicable to Derby Festival weeks. Call us for rates, availability, and cancellation policy for Derby reservations. Rates apply to one or two adults per room and include a full breakfast. We cannot accommodate children. Quoted rates do not include taxes.

Q: How do I make a reservation?

A: The BEST way to make a reservation is online. There's a link at the bottom of every page, and on the Welcome page, and on the Guest Rooms page. It's easy, fast and secure. If you're not comfortable with the online world, you can always call us at one of the numbers on the Welcome page. There's no need to call to check availability - it's right here on the website.

Q: What is the deposit policy?

A: A 50% deposit (or the full amount on a one night stay) will confirm your reservation. In non-peak weeks, the cancellation period is 48 hours. Your deposit will be refunded if a cancellation is made more than 48 hours prior to your arrival. Early check-outs and no shows will be charged the full amount of the reservation. If your reservation falls in a peak week, the cancellation period will be detailed via email.

Reservations made less than 48 hours prior to check-in are non-refundable.

Q: Where do I park?

A: Parking is almost always available on the street in front of Gallery House.

Q: When is check-in and out?

A: Check-in: 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. by appointment. Other times by prior arrangement. When you make your online reservation, you will be asked to specify a check-in time. This is your check-in appointment.

Check-out: by 11:00 a.m.

Q: What payment do you accept?
A: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash accepted. No personal checks. Ever. Debit cards make us happy. (The credit card companies charge merchants a fee for the use of your cards. For a small business like ours it really mounts up. Debit cards are much less expensive to process.)

Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside Gallery House. Smoking is permitted on the balcony. You will be charged a $200 cleaning fee if there is any evidence of smoking inside the house, and you will forfeit the remainder of your reservation.

Q: What else do I need to know?
A: We have pets (cats) in residence. Of course, we think our furry children are fabulous, but if you're allergic to cats, be advised that they live here.

Q: Do you have any Specials?
A: Why, yes we do.

Specials	Rate
*Romance* - Surprise your sweetie with a sparkling beverage, an arrangement of flowers and 1 pound of gourmet chocolates OR Louisville Cookies waiting in your room when you check-in. Must be ordered at least two days in advance.	$58 added to your room rate.
*Celebrate* - Enjoy a special evening with a 6" cake baked just for you in your choice of flavors, covered in buttercream, and decorated for your special occasion. What's your favorite cake? We can probably make it for you. That's one of the advantages of having a chef in the House! Must be ordered at least two days in advance.	$26 added to your room rate.
Corporate Rate - Only valid if you request the Corporate Rate when you make your ONLINE reservation. Gallery House only. Does not apply to the Magnolia Cottage. This rate is not available for phoned-in reservations.	Sunday through Thursday only, singles only, $75 per night including breakfast, plus applicable taxes, Garden and Western Rooms ONLY.
Heros Rate - A special thank you to those who serve (or served.) Includes breakfast, plus applicable taxes. For active or retired full time, career police, firefighters, military personnel, or emergency workers (EMTs, paramedics.) Bring a valid police, firefighter, military, or emergency worker ID. Only valid if you request the Heroes Rate when you make your ONLINE reservation. Not valid Derby weeks, or during major conventions or events. This is NOT a government rate, and is only for those professions listed. The person with the ID must be the one staying in the room. This rate is not available for phoned-in reservations.	$70 per night, Garden and Western Rooms ONLY.
